Pricing
Retailmap measures your competitors’ price positioning in the
market - mapping entry prices, average prices and exit prices
against your own at individual product category level.
The resulting benchmarking reports show where your price
architecture is competitive, where adjustments might be made and
where gap opportunities exist.
For some clients we go into even greater detail, conducting
like-for-like pricing surveys - allowing retailers and brands to
see how they price-compare on matching products in terms of
construction, style, brand/model number and other factors.
We also monitor price promotional activity in the
marketplace, identifying the level of promotions, the mix of
promotions (BOGOFs, multibuys, £ Off, etc). This can extend to
tracking the levels of promotional activity by retailer as well
as monitoring which product areas receive the highest and lowest
level of promotional effort.
